More Info	We had a great turnout and a great time at our first girls night out last month. Last month when we discussed what everyone was looking for in a women’s group most people said a combination of fellowship and advice. It seemed everyone wanted a group where we could bring up problems or issues we are facing and have people who will share how they have dealt with the same thing. This month our topic will be how do you deal with behavior problems. So be thinking of what to share about how you discipline, how you deescalate fits or rages, etc. Hope you join us for fellowship, encouragement, and dessert!

Volunteer opportunity - Genesis women and children visit LPC May 28

A volunteer opportunity (Sat evening May 28):

The Genesis Center in Kaufman, TX is a Shelter and Recovery ministry that houses up to 40 women and their children.  It is very evangelistic!  100+ souls are saved per year.  The women stay there about 1 year.  Genesis ministers primarily to counties east of Dallas including Rockwall County.   About 20 women and 4-10 children from Genesis will be visiting Lake Pointe Rockwall Sat. May 28.  The women will be in the Moss-Deere Life Group in W300 - you are welcome to visit (bring food for yourself and to share with the Genesis ladies).   We also need a few volunteers that have experience with foster/adoption to help care for these children Sat evening May 28.  The times are TBD.  These dear children along with their Moms have moved from their previous lives to this shelter, and they need some people that understand them to show them love and acceptance and make their church visit a positive one.  We plan to not integrate them into the normal LPC child care but instead keep them in a separate room.

This could turn into a once-per month visit in the future.
